At Cuddle Cab, caring for animals isn’t just a service — it’s a lifelong passion. Our founder, Kristin Sumpter, has spent decades devoted to the well-being of pets, from household companions to working retrievers and show horses.
Kristin began her professional journey in the early 2000s when she founded Canada’s first official pet sitters organization, the CPSA, where she led national training programs for pet sitters and dog walkers. Her expertise has touched communities across North America, setting high standards in compassionate, reliable animal care.
Her love of animals started much earlier in south central Arkansas, where she grew up surrounded by cats, dogs, and life on a 100+ acre cattle farm. From a young age, she was competing in horse shows — from the speed of barrel racing to the elegance of dressage, riding beautiful Arabians for a family friend. Kristin also gained invaluable hands-on experience assisting at a veterinary clinic in Grant County, Arkansas, where she supported Dr. Bryant in both everyday care and emergency surgical procedures.
Today, Kristin and her husband, Jon, live on 20 acres in Northwest Arkansas, where they raise and train Chesapeake Bay Retrievers for UKC field trials and duck hunting. But the true ruler of their household is Cooper Pupp, their miniature long-haired dachshund, named after NFL star Cooper Kupp.
With this rich background — from pet sitting leadership and veterinary support, to training working dogs and a lifetime of caring for animals large and small — Kristin brings unmatched knowledge and heart to every ride with Cuddle Cab. Our service isn’t just about transport; it’s about providing safe, reliable, and loving care for your four-legged family members.
